Mind Discovery Is an Approved TEFA Vendor
Mind Discovery is an approved Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA) vendor, allowing eligible families to use TEFA funds for approved cognitive and educational services through the Texas program marketplace.
Our individualized services support cognitive skills, reading and dyslexia, attention, memory, executive functioning, visual and auditory processing, sensorimotor development, and academic performance.
Approved Mind Discovery Services

Cognitive & Academic Assessment Comprehensive assessment of cognitive and academic strengths and areas of need to guide individualized recommendations.

Mind Discovery Brain Training Individualized cognitive and educational training addressing visual and auditory processing, attention, memory, executive functioning, sensorimotor integration, and academic skills. Approved offerings include Brain Training Parts 1, 2 and 3, Comprehensive Brain Training, and Virtual Brain Training.

Primitive Reflex Integration Sensorimotor integration supports coordination, body awareness, visual processing, attention, regulation, and learning readiness.

Dyslexia Support Structured, explicit, multisensory literacy intervention supporting decoding, spelling, fluency, comprehension, and written language.

Fast ForWord Cognitive and language training supporting auditory processing, attention, memory, processing speed, language, and reading.

RightEye® Vision Training Technology-supported training targeting visual processing and eye-movement skills involved in reading and learning.

Play Attention (Neurofeedback) Educational cognitive training supporting attention, working memory, self-regulation, and executive functioning.
Who Is Eligible?
Eligibility is determined by the State of Texas. Generally, a child must:
- Reside in Texas
- Be a U.S. citizen/national or lawfully present in the United States
- Be eligible to attend a Texas public or open-enrollment charter school or qualifying pre-K/kindergarten program
If applications exceed available funding, Texas uses established priority groups and a lottery. TEFA is not first-come, first-served.
Students With Disabilities
Students with disabilities may receive priority consideration. Families should review current state documentation requirements, as additional requirements may apply for increased disability funding.
How to Apply
Families apply directly through the Texas Education Freedom Accounts program, not through Mind Discovery.
Applicants should be prepared to provide documentation needed to verify:
- Student eligibility
- Texas residency
- Citizenship or lawful presence
- Household income, when required
- Disability documentation or IEP information, when applicable
