Mind Discovery provides individualized cognitive skill development and academic remediation for students with diverse learning profiles, including students experiencing challenges with reading, attention, executive functioning, memory, processing, and academic performance.
Our Mind Discovery in-center cognitive and academic program in Weatherford, Texas, serves students ages 6–17. Students will be in-center twice a week for one hour intervals, with our team of certified teachers and practitioners of Structure of Intellect and Integrated Practice Protocol.
Our goal is to strengthen foundational cognitive and academic skills while measuring each student’s progress throughout the program.
To get started in our Mind Discovery In-Center program, we first begin by providing a comprehensive assessment designed to uncover your child’s unique learning profile, identify strengths and challenges, and guide practical interventions.
We offer a comprehensive cognitive and academic assessment designed to evaluate skills involving visual, auditory, sensorimotor, cognitive, and academic performance.
Families receive a detailed report highlighting cognitive, academic, and sensorimotor strengths and challenges, along with practical strategies and recommended programs individualized to your child’s needs.
After the assessment, the child will enter the integration phase where our certified teachers and practitioners will work with your child in-center. The Integration Phase focuses on strengthening foundational visual, auditory, and sensorimotor skills through structured, repetitive activities designed to support cognitive skill development.
Throughout this phase, activities incorporate the visual (EYES), auditory (EARS), and sensorimotor (BODY) systems as part of our multisensory cognitive skill development approach. This phase is complete once the student scores reach a specific level. Progress data are used to determine when the student is ready to move into the next phase.
Typically, about halfway through the program, students transition from Integration into the Remediation Phase. During this phase, individualized Mind Discovery curriculum is incorporated to address specific academic learning needs while cognitive skill development continues.
Homework will also be assigned and is a crucial part of our educational program. We urge parents to ensure the completion of the homework to get the best results.
