Virtual Mind Discovery offering an Assessment, Cognitive, Sensory & Academic Profile.
The Virtual Mind Discovery program has been carefully structured to operate similarly and effectively as our in-center Mind Discovery program as possible, but clearly will require a few foundational differences.
Since we are unable to physically work with students a parent must provide the coaching and assistance students would typically receive at Mind Discovery.
This program operates as an equal partnership between the student, Mind Discovery remediation specialist, and a physical remediation coach. We understand that parents are not educational specialists so we are there via phone, zoom or email to answer every question that might arise.
We also provide you with a guide for each stage of the program, access to Google Classroom that includes all instructional materials, including instructional videos.
Just like the in-center Mind Discovery program, we first begin by providing a full cognitive and academic assessment designed to uncover your child’s unique learning profile, identify strengths and challenges, and guide practical interventions.
For Virtual Mind Discovery, we will offer one assessment, Cognitive, Sensory & Academic Profile.
Families receive a detailed report highlighting cognitive, academic, and sensorimotor child’s needs.
After the assessment, the child will enter the integration phase where our certified teachers and practitioners will work with your child virtually.
Virtual coaching will be 30 minutes one time per week, for the duration of your contract.
The integration phase is the most crucial phase of our brain training process as it’s designed to enhance and increase cognition through neuroplasticity.
Typically about halfway through the 16-18week program, the child completes the Discovery curriculum which helps students overcome their specific learning challenges. During this phase they will still receive their customized brain training program in addition to the Mind Discovery curriculum.
