My son spent two years at Mind Discovery, including one school year at Discovery Academy. During these two years, his reading level increased from first grade to sixth grade (!!) and his math also improved five grade levels (2nd to 7th). His interest in learning has increased dramatically, which is the most important gain. He has gone from hating school to loving it!

When we found out my son had dyslexia I wasn’t sure where to go an what to do to help him. Plus it was the beginning of the pandemic and so options were limited. Through many fortunate circumstances we found Brenda and her team at Mind Discovery. They have been angels!! They have loads of experience, knowledge and endless compassion. I have used other resources and worked with other tutors, but I have found no one to compare with Brenda and her team and believe me I’ve looked across many states. We have been apart of the Mind Discovery Community for 3 years and we don’t even live in Texas. They have given my son the tools to become a confident reader and writer. They also walked me through how to help him more at home. Brenda worked with my other children who do not have reading delays but I wanted them to have the same tools. I appreciate how the Mind Discovery Team looks at the whole child and connects mind, body and eyes. Their program is effective and fun. I can’t sing their praises enough!!

I could not recommend Mind Discovery more!! My son struggled with regulating emotions and completing tasks. First and second grade we are nightmare for him. At one point, he was forced to sit in a desk by himself. We finally got to a breaking point where we needed to help him improve his school and home experience. After lots of research and a friend telling us about Mind Discovery, we discovered that my son had primitive reflexes that were still retained, midline shift, and visual processing issues.
After 9 months of hard work, my son graduated and he is like a new kid. We could have gone the route of medications or just letting him struggle through without knowing what was going on. The attention to detail and care from the entire staff is unparalleled.

Mind Discovery has been a miracle for my son! At 8 years old, my son was diagnosed with ADHD. He struggled with remembering what he had learned. It was like the information was stuck in his brain and could not get out. Some days, he would understand his schoolwork 100%, and then other days, it was like teaching a brick wall. Very few classmates were kind to my son, and the constant rejection and looking over his shoulder to avoid being assulted destroyed his self-esteem. He was repeative, never spoke up for himself, and had difficulties processing information along with social cues. After my son went through a horrible bullying incident, which resulted in sudden depression, anxiety, fear of school, and copying bully behavior at home, I started researching in local groups. Mind Discovery has been highly recommended by many parents, and the results sounded too good to be true, but the results are real! Within a few months, my son’s grades made great improvements in his math and reading, and homework no longer takes hours to complete. His confidence was boosted, and he even made a few friends the following school year. He is able to speak up for himself and be able to express himself better to his parents. He is funny, positive, able to focus, coordinated, stands taller, and now asks for a short haircut. He no longer wants to hide behind his hair. Mind Discovery’s programs has helped my son in many ways and it has been exciting to watch him grow. They care deeply for our children. Our son began the Mind Discovery program at age 11 during a very difficult period in his life. He was struggling to adjust to life’s challenges, often rigid in his thinking and behavior. Small things would trigger quick anger and deep frustration, and we felt helpless watching him spiral into these emotional cycles.
From the first few weeks at Mind Discovery, we began to notice significant changes. I will never stop shouting the praises of Mind Discovery!! This was 10/10 the best experience for my son! In less than a year he went from not being able to read or write… to being fully integrated on a 2nd grade level! My son’s behavior was also defiant and he had massive anxiety, that left him shut down and angry prior to beginning the program. He left the program with a new sense of confidence and joy that he had not had before! He’s now much more easy going and ready to tackle tasks!
